Get Legal or Go the Fuck Home...

OK, I'm probably about to piss off the ultra-left among us, but, after yesterday's "Immigrant Rally", or whatever the fuck it was supposed to be, I have but one point to make...If you don't want to do what it takes to be in this country legally, get the fuck out and go back to whatever godforsaken hole in the ground you came from. Illegal aliens ARE NOT immigrants. Immigrants are people who come to this country and do the work to be here legally, either by becoming citizens, or by being resident aliens. My late father-in-law was an immigrant from South Korea. He became such a proud American, that you couldn't even park a foreign-made car in his driveway (not even a Korean one, go figure).

Illegal aliens are CRIMINALS. Other countries have the privilege to deport their sorry asses back to their homelands, but, for some reason, we can't do that here. Illegal aliens DON'T WANT to become citizens...if they did, they'd do the work to be legal. They want to get whatever cash they can TO SEND BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY.

OK, I'm done. Have a nice day.

The pissed-offedness of the left remains to be seen but you made at least one guy on the right say a big Hell Yeah.

I got an email from someone with pictures from the "rally", or whatever title they gave it, and they just really pissed me off.

Me, I think we should fire our imigration people for not taking the opportunity to get a hell of a lot of easy deporting done. You'd damned sure never see the cops pass up the chance at a bail jumpers rights rally and the IRS would be all over a tax evaders rights rally.

How about Deadbeat Dads (and Moms) Day???

The Mighty Buzzard said...

Nah, getting arrested would be the least of their worries. To paraphrase Homer: to Physical Violence; the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.

Thanks for the opinion about illegal immigrants ... so are you Cherokee or Iroquois or ... ?

The Mighty Buzzard said...

Chickasaw and Cherokee.

Nope, I'm a pale, white Heinz 57 European mutt. My husband is part Native American and he was just as pissed with that debacle as I,and most of the people I know, was. However, my ancestors didn't sneak across the border (or the ocean, for that matter) in the trunk of a car, or the back end of a pickup truck. They came here legally (or as legally as you could in those days). My ancestors didn't cross the border ready to squeeze out a squalling brat just so that they could qualify for welfare in this country. My point is that there are ways to come into this country LEGALLY, and if they want to be here, that's what they need to do. If they don't want to do the work, they need to go the fuck home.

Ugh. To suggest that I'm not aware of what happened when the 'white man' came to this continent is just a bit insulting. However, my ancestors came here long after that, so blow me.

First off, I'd like to see them try. They'd never get past Texas, where the ratio of people to guns is 2:1.

Secondly, I do not fear immigrants. I have the utmost respect for the people who do all the work that is necessary to become citizens (or legal residents), of our great country. Did you miss the part where I said that my late father-in-law was Korean?

Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are criminals. Although, it must be rather hard to know what the laws are since the majority don't bother to learn how to speak english to begin with. And, therein lies your problem. This country is ruled by the white man's laws, so they are illegal and need to get the fuck out.

Ren, it's not that I don't sorta understand your point of view, and I am probably going to end up in trouble again, but here goes. I know Choi was Korean. I know you know about the theft of America from the indigenous people, including Texas from the Mexicans. I know about the illegality, and not following the rules for immigration. But this whole explosion all of a sudden on this issue is little more than a smoke screen designed to draw our attention away from more important issues. "Illegals" didn't screw Delphi, the rich white guys at the top are doing so. Illegals are not the greatest of our worries. And what do you suggest, going house to house? Stopping everyone with an accent? If the corporate culture stops breaking the law by employing people here illegally, and is punished for doing so, the problem you have is on the way to being fixed. love ya

Stimp, the last time I checked, I never said anything about illegals and Delphi. My point is that the illegals flow over the borders, steal services and benefits that they are NOT entitled to, which, is money that, oh, I don't know, could be used in better places (Gulf Coast, perhaps?).

What I suggest is for the Border Patrol and the rest of the government start enforcing the goddamned laws that are already on the books, denying illegals welfare and social services, and ship them back home.

stimp said...

As I said, here and in my blog today, I am not for breaking the law. I know well enough the drag on social services. I agree that the laws on the books need enforced, big time. But I am also saying that it is at least as much the corporations "fault" as it is anyone else's, and that this is a hot button topic, and the button has been pushed, so to speak, for a reason.

stimp,

Yes, this argument in these comments shows how the immigration issue is being used to divide and conquer.

The Mighty Buzzard said...

Right, because the media is soooooo right-wing. You can tell by how open the administration is with them.

Glad to see you finally get it, liz. All rights and laws are created by those with the will and power to enforce them. The soldiers who drove the Chickasaws along the trail of tears had the right and the action was legal. When the Cherokee conquered other tribes, they had the right and it was legal. When the national guard were called out against their own governor to ensure that school desegregation happened, they had the right and it was legal.

Until illegal aliens can manage to secure military might they have only the rights we grant them out of the goodness of our hearts and enforce with the power of our nation. Me, I'm in favor of granting them a half mile of concertina wire and landmines once they get across the Rio Grande.

Spencemo said...

Yeah, and just think about this for a second...like my husband said...if the Native Americans had secured THEIR borders (as well as the Mexicans down in Texas), we wouldn't be having this discussion (at least, not in english).

I think some people here are confusing brute force with morality. MIGHT does not make RIGHT. How many of you are parents? If you have two children and one beats up the other, is it their right to do so? And is it right to do so? Ok, you might answer that by saying that you would stop the bully child because you are the law, but then what if your child is physically stronger than you? Do they then decide what happens in your house? It sounds like you are saying that you WANT Mexicans and other immigrants to KILL us instead of just moving in among those already here.

Spencemo said...

What I would want is for them to do the work to make their status in our country legal, which, coincidentally, would also be the moral thing to do.

The Mighty Buzzard said...

Think of it more as me saying they'll only sneak into our country, violate our laws, and be granted citizenship for it over my dead body.

See, now you're confusing brute force with morality. Having the right to do something does not mean doing it is moraly right. Might makes rights, not right. Witness abortion.

Then again, morality is all relative, eh? So yeah, if you're for moral relativism then might does make right. Me, I'm not from the camp that would call Berkeley my Mecca and Clooney my prophet, so I'm with almost all conservatives, and the majority of the nation, in being against moral relativism. Good thing for you too because, last I checked, our military is overwhelmingly conservative.

The Mighty Buzzard said...

Yeah, spence, I'm right there with ya. Folks willing to work their ass off to get into this country legally are exactly the kind of folks we need more of. Folks willing to do anything necessary, legal or no, to get what they want are the kind we already have too many of. We call them criminals.
